It was sad seeing/recording the Garcia Band without Jerry, but…Melvin’s Gotta Eat! So support him when you can. He is a good musician who is trying to carry on the flame as best he can. I hadn’t listened to this recording in years, if ever. I remember being really sad at this show because it was only a little over two years since Jerry’s passing.

Country Joe McDonald opened. He agreed to my request for a board recording, but one of the sound crew shut off my feed two songs into the set without my knowing.
